Our Schools. Our Investment. Our Future.
For nearly 40 years, Oakwood voters have supported the Permanent Improvement Levy. The 2026 renewal continues that investment at the existing 1.8-mill tax rate — with no additional revenue.
PROTECTING WHAT OUR COMMUNITY BUILT TOGETHER
Oakwood Schools have a long history of excellence… and maintaining that excellence means taking care of the buildings, technology and infrastructure that support our students every day.
This is not a new tax. The renewal will not increase property tax revenue for the district. On November 3, 2026, Oakwood voters will consider a renewal of the district’s existing 1.8-mill Permanent Improvement Levy. Oakwood voters have approved and renewed this levy for nearly 40 years, and it provides dedicated funding for long-term improvements to our schools.
THE INVESTMENT
The 1.8-mill Permanent Improvement Levy will generate approximately $550,900 annually for Oakwood Schools. The levy currently operates on a five-year renewal cycle and will expire in 2027. The proposal on the November 3 ballot would make the levy continuing, meaning it won’t have to go back on the ballot every five years. The tax revenue won’t change. It will remain approximately $35 per year for every $100,000 of county auditor-assessed property value.
